Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the request goes to a builder who covers it
- New deck, repair, replacement, railing or cover, and roughly how big
- Wood or composite, if you already lean one way
- How high the deck sits off the ground and whether it attaches to the house
- Whether you're in an HOA such as Sunriver's, and a photo or two if you have them
Railing moving or a board cracked through? Keep people off that part of the deck until it's been looked at. A guard that flexes when you lean on it, or stairs that shift underfoot, shouldn't wait for next season.
